“I was misinformed” and “I obviously was not myself”. Love it. No doubt I will be called upon to express this myself in the not too far distant future. Thanks for that!!
Oh hell, I’ve given in and say it all the time now. And then you realise just how much easier life can be 😉

The story so far
I'm from Adelaide, but I'm living in Abu Dhabi right now. One day, I saw a gold leaf four wheel drive. It made me cry.
..
My first novel, Black Dust Dancing, was published by Wakefield Press in March. It looks like this:
In my family the phrase is “I was misinformed”. Every now and then, but only very, very rarely, one might be “wro, wro, wro, misinformed”.
Yes. Me too. I like it better when I can nod sagely and say I knew. I knew all along.
unfortunately
Those are the days that we learn something important.
Those are the days when “I obviously was not myself.”
“I was misinformed” and “I obviously was not myself”. Love it. No doubt I will be called upon to express this myself in the not too far distant future. Thanks for that!!
My eleven year old daughter: “Mum, I’m just going to check that in the dictionary, because if you’re wrong, then I’ll be incredibly pleased.”
Also, “No, darling. You weren’t wrong. You just weren’t as right as me.”
Oh hell, I’ve given in and say it all the time now. And then you realise just how much easier life can be 😉
