Do I really sound like that?

26 Apr

Bought a video player back in March. Used it to record myself in Titters! Twice.

Have just now been watching said recordings in an effort to improve myself (you know, listen carefully to script and people’s reactions to script, watch actions, though with no training whatsoever, have no real idea on how to improve actions, and so on).

My goodness, but that’s an excruciating experience.

    I could never.

I don’t. Never looked at a recording of a lecture, haven’t listened to myself singing (amateur only in any case), don’t want to know. Just too wimpy to do it, even though I know I should…

I try desperately to avoid being confronted by my own voice. It is horribly high-pitched and childlike.

Well done for sitting through the experience!

I think this is why all newsreaders, including the women, have such deep voices. And lots of training of course.

I saw myself on video at ballet class when I was about 10. I was horrified at how far the reality was from my imagined self.

Good luck with closing the gap.

I watched all thirteen lectures from last semester’s unit. An unsurpassably vile experience.
