Note home from school asking for parents to come along and help ‘make Valentines’ for the children – the school gives one to each child to make sure everyone gets one.
…
And still to come in Adelaide from Adelaide in Abu Dhabi:
how (and why) Adelaide learnt never to cross the road without at least three other people between her and the oncoming traffic; and
how Adelaide discovered the fruit and vegetable souk only five years after it had burned down.
My daughters school makes sure all the girls receive a Valentine, the year 12’s make them for the whole school.
I am impressed by your clever times tabling. I still get them all wrong, always. It’s the conviction wityh which I pronounce my calaculations as TRUTH is the thing which is possibly the most tragic aspect of this.
Fruit and vegetable souk…burned…hmmm. Strange images…
really? I didn’t know any Australian schools do valentine’s day. So there you go…always learning.
Conviction is the key. As my Dad said when I was learning to umpire netball: ‘blow the whistle hard enough and it doesn’t matter what your decision is’.
