I’m not sure that I’ll be going on the swimming excursion tomorrow

27 Nov

The difference between the changerooms (boys’ and girls’) is not, as you might imagine, the giggles, but the hair.

I have just realised that in seven years I have not brushed my little boy’s hair once. But all these girls have their own brushes.

I’m glad to hear I’m not alone with the never-brushing. I never brush or comb my own hair so it never occured to me to brush my son’s.

so does his hair just naturally fall into place?

Ditto – Boychild’s hair is curly and doesn’t need brushing.

since I got short hair, I don’t brush mine either, just put “product” in (heh) and scrunch a lot. Do you brush?

I never brush F’s hair either, unless he gets particularly annoying cowlicks that need attention.

D took to combing his own hair for a while, but it was a passing fad. He has the generic ‘boy’ haircut – short back and sides, and fairly spiky on top. It never needs brushing. He hardly ever washes it either. Oh that my life was as easy!

I’m with Susoz. But Bumblebee is growing his hair at the moment and has discovered that long hair = knots. I’ll let him solve it himself though. He’ll probably end up with dreads.

I think of it as ‘timesaving’ .. so I can blog .. and err … play on flickr ?!
